My stance on AI tools

I don’t see AI-assisted tools as thinking systems, but as powerful aids. What is called “artificial intelligence” today is not intelligence in the human sense, but statistical modelling. Responsibility, judgement and meaning remain with humans.

In my work with AI I deliberately act as a hypervisor – I steer, review and decide. AI provides suggestions or new perspectives, but it makes no decisions for me. No result is adopted without my being able to understand it, place it in context and take responsibility for it. I use these tools where they reduce repetitive or mechanical parts, not where they would replace thinking, learning or designing.

The value of my work does not arise from the result alone, but in the process: in retracing, in weighing up, in deliberate design. At the same time I am aware of the ecological, social and cultural risks associated with the use of such systems. I don’t ignore them – I set clear boundaries. Human exchange, discussion and thinking together take priority for me over automated answers. Technology should support work – not replace responsibility, understanding or attitude.

And yes – this and other texts were formulated with AI support, trained on my own texts in form and tone from the time before AI. The thoughts, the stance and the core statements are mine.
